"The Magic of Brass and Song" - Bromsgrove Operatic Society and Langley Band

Last night, Kat and I went to the Bromsgrove Operatic Society's "The Magic of Brass and Song". Langley Band were the 'guest' band.

The evening was roughly spent with 10-20 minutes by either group (so singing, then band, then singing etc). As with Oliver, the performance of the operatic society was excellent - well I couldn't fault it, but I'm not exactly musical. The band were fantastic - they clearly enjoyed themselves and we will remain in awe of the xylophone-er/drummer who sounded superb.

$Herbert was apparently quite interested in the 'noise'. But seems to have learnt an aversion to me (i.e. he doesn't kick under my hand). We now have less than 8 weeks left.

Anyway, we've spent this morning listening to the band's CD, which sounds good. It only cost £10, which seems a bargain.
